Emulating a serial printer

Is it possible, and with what hardware/software, to emulate a RS-232
serial printer using a regular com port on a PC?  I am trying to run a
laptop to our phone system here, for call accounting, and use the PC to
save phone records instead of just printing them.  I have an RS-232
break out box to make my own cable connection, so the wiring is no
problem.  I have'nt any direction to go as far as what software to use,
if any.
