A couple of years ago, I read a diatribe by some of the authors of the
original SQL spec which included the note that it is pronounced 'ess que
ell', and 'sequel' is quite incorrect.  The main rant was about those
people who still insist that SQL stands for something, when in fact it
does not (anymore).
