Do you have mailMessageStore and homeDirectory attributes present
(i.e. does both of them have values ?), if this is the case qmail will
not work.
The easiest way to solve this is to go to the qmail source and modify
the file qmail-ldap.h and change the line
#define LDAP_HOMEDIR            "homeDirectory" to any other value
rather than homeDirectory and recompile qmail.
