Pilot: Alternate Styli

It finally happened...I knew it would - after 8 weeks of using
my Pilot, I lost my first USR plastic stylus (a Piloteer right
         of passage I guess).

Not to worry - I have both a PDA Panache Dual Purpose Pen/Stylus
and the Ace-Tech Stealth II Pen/Stylus. <Both of which are pretty
decent - the PDA Panache being better built, but kind of large -
and the Stealth being "normal" pen size and having a finer point
stylus>. But nothing can really replace that handy "built-in" USR
stylus when you happen not to carry a pen with you. But a I'll
         share the following anecdote anyway:

I was mid phone call at home and wanted to jot a quick note on my
Pilot - but alas no Dual stylus in sight - and no gray plastic
USR stylus either (until my 3-pack arrives next week). But there
was a fresh Q-tip swab on the night stand. Wouldn't you know it
         - it ain't great, but it did the job! Q-tips seem soft enough I
doubt they could do any harm to the screen -although I do believe
         in WriteRighter screen protectors.

Anyway I wouldn't recommend you bring a Q-tip along to jot notes
at your next important meeting at work - but if you are in a bind
         - head to the medicine cabinet.
