Pilot: Alien files + category problem ..

MEMBERs...

i am in a fix.....

Due to various reasons...i have lost   the entire data of my palmpilot proff..
( but thats not the issue here )

While  REsync....
the palm pilot refuses to add the various categories  with in the TEL BK ,
MEMO , TODO ,    instead it addds all the data under the  UNFILED category ...

in order to salvage  my situation i  manually installed a few files from the
BACKUP Folder....

they were
cities.db
vendor.db
savedpref.db
unsavedprefs.db  .....and so on...

things didnt chage one bit...
the worst part is that these  addition didnot reflect them selves  in the memory check option of the
palm pilot...
hence i cant even delete the uselessly added files....


can come one pls help / explain....where am i goping wrong ..
