RE: Pilot: Recommendations on group profiles
One immidiate thing u can do is SYNC with LOTUS oRGANISER 97 ,
and ORGANSIER can be configured to share calender , todo's , notes.... u
name it and it does it...
That shud solve ur problem...
U cud also try Outlook 98 ..
but since i have just installed that 15 mins ago...
i am not sure if that possible....
specially since i do have an independent machine to my self...
but if do want to know the possibiliteis before investing in outlook 98
( its free from the net , if ur a MS off 97 user....simply have to invest
in 1.5hrs over a 28.8 )
i cud check it up and let u know....
enjoy

#->
#->To all you savvy Pilot users,
#->I have a problem that I cannot figure out a solution for.
#->If my family has three Pilots all syncing on the same
#->machine, that's no problem. What we'd like to do, however,
#->is keep a fourth user profile that has just common events
#->that apply to everyone (like vacations, holidays, etc.) -
#->sort of like a group planner. So, we'd keep each of our
#->own specific entries in our own unique profiles. Then,
#->during hotsync, we would not only hotsync our personal
#->stuff, but the common entries (i.e. group events) as well.
#->
#->Is there any way, either built in or via 3rd party software,
#->to do this? This would become even more important for
#->larger organizations that manage, say, a salesforce, and
#->they need to update their baseline info while maintaining
#->the individuals' records as well.
#->
#->I tried exporting and importing in the desktop, and while
#->that works the FIRST time, it creates duplicate records
#->whenever an updated version of the common database is
#->imported....so, not a solution.
#->
#->ANY help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks!
