Pilot: Pilots in the African Bush

Just thought I'd mention this application. I was watching Discovery News on
Sunday on the Discovery Channel, and there was a story about computers in
the bush in South Africa. The story discussed how bushmen who were
illiterate were able to use portable touch screen computers to assist with
tracking and monitoring of animals (elephants, rhinos, etc.) in the bush by
using an icon based interface.

They primarily showed the Newton being used, but at least one of the quick
shots showed a PalmPilot Pro. Sorry I don't have more info, but maybe
someone else on the list does.
