[RCSE] First flight

I am still in a kind of disbelief that a plane can fly as good as the
Addiction did this afternoon. The conditions were bordering poor with winds
out of the Northwest at about 6 to 8 MPH and no real thermal conditions.
I did an initial first hand launch and had to change the stab position about
3 degrees. From there I had the urge to just hook the Addiction up on the
winch. I was still a little rattled because I just winch launched a friends
new V-tail thermal plane for the first time. I tapped the pedal a few times
and built up winch tension, pushed the plane forward and it rotated almost
near vertical within the first few feet. My first inclination was to push
the stick forward but the plane just kept climbing, " no flaps ". I haven't
had much experience with thermal duration planes and having the plane rotate
and climb so quickly was almost unreal. After 4 launches in pour
conditions, the shortest flight I had was 4 minutes 20 seconds only after
the sun was setting at 8:10 PM. The other flights were from 5:20 to 6:40. I
ordered the plane with a 7037, and a 9.75 chord at the main root and a 122 "
span. The plane weighs in at 61.5 oz even after I painted the fuselage.
I thank you guys in RCSE for recommending the Addiction.
