Re: [RCSE] Searcher 2 Meter how is it???

Ask Gordy he flys them and I fly his HLG's and love them. I will be
getting one and it's well under 40oz. He will do either the 90" or 78"
doesn't do the 100" anymore and will make the wing one piece or 3
piece. Hope this helps.

Here is what Mark sent me:
Glen

I am not doing the 100" Searcher any more, but I am doing a 90" Searcher
instead. The reason for going to 90" is handling. it is surprising how
much
better the 90" handles over the 100" Searcher. The only advantage that
the
78" has over the 90" is landing in gusty conditions. the 78" does not
bounce
around as much. Plus the other thing about the 78" is you can fly it in
both
2M and unlimited. Personally I like the 78" for most flying conditions.
There are bays in the wings for each control surface. I have a Stylus
radio
and I do not use much mixing. I like to keep things simple so the only
mixing I use is vtail, aileron/ rudder coupling and flap/elevator
compensation for landing. The Searcher is what my son used to learn how
to
fly a full house sail plane on. I can do either a one piece wing or a
three
piece wing for both the 78" and 90". If you want a three piece wing it
is an
extra $25.00 but other than that the either version is $300.00.

Good luck at the contest and let me know how you do.
