Talking about Dremel tools, I like the nice carbide bits made for Dentists.
Especially the small, high speed bits.  They are only about a buck a bit,
and since they are very small, they generate much less nasty dust when
cutting fiberglass and carbon.  Get a catalog from your friendly Dentist
to see what is available.  Even the bigger bits cost them much less than
we see packaged for the hobby industry.

You also might want him to save all the nice lead foil shielding from 
X-ray films.  Conforms nicely to the front of a fuselage and they just toss
them anyway.
