Re: [RCSE] Looking for JR TX/RX Chrystals??
I've been buying my JR stuff from Don and Judy since I quit using my ACE
Silver Seven! They have been the greatest people to work with. I
mistakenly ordered an F400 once, thinking it had removable transmitter
modules like all other JR's I'd seen, and when I opened the package and
discovered my mistake, one call is all it took to get it returned and a
783 sent out in its place (for the difference in price - no extra
shipping though!). It was my ignorance, but they ate the shipping on my
mistake! Since then I have ordered every JR component (recently an 8103
w/digital trims) from them. On the 8103 they were willing to break up
the packaged set and sell me JUST the transmitter - guess with that kind
of inventory they have the ability/market to eat the components...
They're also willing to help getting parts (read, broken switches that
are not 'technically' user repairable!) - don't ask me how I know this,
needless to say I'm good at tearing these things apart and re-soldering
switches (also at replacing the touch screens on the PCM 10 series -
done that twice now!)
They also stock all the Ham frequencies...
Great people and excellent business practices - these stories deserve
more attention! Thanks for the reminder Gordy!
